Landscape photography is taking pictures of nature and most of the time does not include man manipulated areas. Landscape photography can include man-made items to show the disturbance humans have on nature. Colby Brown is a photography that specializes in landscape, travel, and humanitarian photography. Through his photography, you can tell that he loves nature and the diverse cultures of our world. Colby Brown and landscape are the inspirations for my photos. My photographs are examples of the theme because they show nature, and they are similar to Colby Brown's Photography because they include water, trees, and similar coloring. My Favorite image above is the first one that has the clouds reflecting in the water. The reflection of the clouds, the overall blueness of the photo, and the fact that the trees in the distance cutting the image in half are what makes this image the strongest. I think that this is a good representation of landscape because most landscape photography has the land in the far back of the photo and then a more plain front. My first image is very similar to the first image that is Colby Brown's, and I think that it could almost count as a homage photo.

I would have more letters, but my phone is broken and won't allow me to upload more images. The letter s is from the ceiling tile , the O is from a fidget spinner, and the y is from a cord and the electrical corn that is on the wall. I think the best image would be the S because it is more creative than the O and it has a better background than the Y
The first image is of Ellie and I standing behind a dugout in the Buckley Baseball field, the second image is of me holding my head while looking at the baseball field. the third image is of Amelia and I making a heart, the fourth is of Amelia playing hopscotch, and the last iamge is of me on the balance bar. I think the strongest image would be the one of Ellie and I because it has a stronger shadow compared to the others. The second image would be better if the fence was not visible in the left corner.
For these images I was in Buckley just walking around. The one with people is of my best friend and her boyfriend. The ones in the baseball field were taken at the Buckley baseball fields. I think the strongest image is of Emma and Austin because it shows their relationship. I think the image that is looking from inside the dugout could be better if the shadow of the building was not visible, but it was mid-day and hard to control the sun.
For these pictures I tried a variety of different angles to make the pictures have certain feelings. I think my weakest picture is when the dog is awake because it doesn't show good color. I think the strongest photo would be of the dog sleeping. I like this photo because I set up the background and the front of the image to make it look more professional. I think that these images would be stronger if there was different lighting, but I think they show who my pets are.
The first image is environmental, the second is faceless, the third is candid, and the fourth is formal. I like these images because they do show personality and show a story. I think the strongest photo is the candid because she looks really happy. I think that if I didn't postpone doing these photo', I could have gotten better ones, but for being last minute, I think they turned out very well. It also helps that I had such a great friend help me.
The first image is framing the trees looking through a car window, the second image is of two birds swimming, which are being framed by the tree. I think the second image could be stronger if you could tell what birds they are and if it had more color. The third image is taken of a reflection from a tv, that is of a building in a window. I really like this image because the building is old, and It is cool that I used a tv for a reflection instead of talking the image straight on. The fourth image is taken through a window and is framing the car. I purposely took the image blurry so that the license plate was not visible. I don not know which image is the strongest, but my favorite is of the building.
The image I think is the strongest would be the one with the stop light looking through a windshield. I think this image has a good nostalgic feel and has good contrast between the black and the white. I think this image would be stronger if the fading was less noticeable. I think the welcome image would be better if the rain wasn't visible , but then again, the rain adds character.
Image 1: This is a tile in Mrs. McCambridge's classroom with a filter over top. I used pixlr to edit this image.
Image 2: Is an American flag, also taken in the Algebra room. Image 3: Is my phone case, that was edited using pixlr. Image 4: is a pillowcase Image 5: is a table in the Algebra room. For two of these images I used Pixlr, and I think they are my strongest. My favorite would be my phonecase because the white on black is ery vibrant and contains good detail. I think that the other images would be better if they were more focused and less blurry. Texture image 1:
This is a close-up image of my eye-shadow pallet. I think it shows the texture of the eye-shadow well, and the chrome. I think this image would be stronger if the reflection of the light wasn't visible. Texture image 2: This image is a zoomed in picture of one of my many phone cases. I think that it shows the texture of the sparkles. I think this image would be better if it was more focused and didn't have a "reflection". Texture image 3: This is an image of the back of a mouse pad, found in this very classroom. I think that it does show the texture of the mouse pad, but would be stronger if the lighting wasn't as bright. Texture image 4: This image is of my left wrist and shows the creases, or texture, of my wrist. I think this image would be stronger if it were more focused and close-up. |
