Starting this class, I already enjoyed photography and looked at the best possible coloring, but I know for a fact that I have gotten better at taking good quality photos. My most recent photos have more thought put into them, and I often see myself automatically trying to use the rule of thirds.
While taking photos, I usually stay at the average eye level, but for some I do have to crouch down to get a straight on look. I prefer to take pictures of nature because I really don't like people, but if we had a city that was awesome looking, I would definitely enjoy doing street photography.
I believe that the first two row are my best photographs, and the remaining three rows are classified at being decent. The pictures in the first row are the ones that I put the most effort and thought into, the second row had thought, but the remaining three rows were not thought out photos, they were more like a spur of the moment, " this looks good" type of thing.
My favorite project would have to be either the one that we are doing for exams (we get to chose), or the silhouettes project. I actually ended up putting all of the photos from the silhouette project into the top 25, and I have all of my landscape photos too. I also enjoyed the mood photography because I enjoy taking pictures that actually make you feel something. My least favorites were the alphabet photography and the portraits. Alphabet photography was a cool concept, and I still think that it is, but it just really isn't the thing for me, I guess. Portraits are also very interesting because you can capture who a person is, but I honestly waited last minute to do my photos, which is bad on my part. So none of the themes are really bad, it's just how each individual student portrays it and if they actually try their absolute hardest.
If I could redo this entire semester, I would have tried a lot harder because I realize that even though some of the themes were difficult to capture, I really should have tried. It makes me sad knowing that I did not put in my best effort at the beginning because I honestly enjoy taking photos. I think that I didn't put in a lot of effort because we were taking photos for a grade, and I don't like being forced to do things. I'm stubborn.
