Stephen McMennamy is an art director that is based in Atlanta, Georgia. I do find his artwork interesting because he takes all of the images himself and does not use stock images. I think it does pay homage to him because it is very similar to the art he does, it is different though because I did not take these images myself. I think that it is a successful image because it looks cool and interesting. Definitely catches people's attention.

1. Do Research- learn about where you are going, what will be there, and who the people are culturally.
2. Focus on what is similar- don't point out how different we are, look at how we are all connected in one way or another. 3. See things through their eyes- You need to understand how the people live and how they are emotionally connected to nature. 4. Trust the Locals- Don't be afraid of the native people that live there, you need to trust them in order to capture the true personality. 5. Practice How to ask- You need to be able to ask people to take photographs, and that requires putting yourself out their and being confident. 6. Take your time- Don't try and rush the photography experience 7. Respect- You need to respect the person you are taking the photo of. This can be done by the way you portray the subject, or even by having permission to take the photo. 8. Protect the meaning of the photo- Keep your photos safe and have respect for he meaning behind the photo. If I could go somewhere to photograph their culture, I would chose Mexico. I chose Mexico because a large amount of Americans think that Mexicans are not good enough, and I would like to be able to show that they are not that different from us. To show their culture I would take photographs of their traditions and how they make themselves grow as a country. I would respect the people by asking for permission to photograph them, I would protect their culture by portraying it accurately, and I would trust the locals to show me the true culture of Mexico. Crouser uses black and white and began photography at the age of 14. Schlesinger uses photography to express how she feels and to create a dream like effect. Both photographers want to use photography that creates a dream effect, and both use black and white. Crouser does a wide variety of lighting and uses subjects that are living. Schlesinger is inspired by her daughter for ideas and mostly uses moonlight. I enjoy Schlesinger's work more than Crouser because her photos are aesthetically pleasing. She also has more motivation for the way her photographs are taken. I like how Schlesinger expresses herself through the way she photographs subjects, and the reason behind what she is photographing.
Elgin Park uses photography to help himself with his depression and sexuality. Maggie Taylor is an older woman who creates new images from old images with new backgrounds, objects, props, etc. Both "create" their photographs, and both use the older theme. Elgin Park builds models whereas Maggie uses props. Elgin stages photo's, Maggie uses old photos. I like Elgin Park more because he actually creates his subject that is being photographed rather than scanning old photographs. His story is also more relatable, and I really like the reason why he photography. I enjoy how he created a small town for him to photograph and taught himself to not focus on the bad parts of life.
I am going to be presenting a make-up company. The product is going to be whatever make-up I own. The target audience is going to be teenagers, or anyone that enjoys make-up. You would probably see the advertisement on Pinterest or some form of social media. I will use natural lighting. The props I need are the make up and the background.
Charlie Todd does weird flash-mobs to make people smile. I found it interesting that they have an annual ride the subway without pants on Day, and how many people he actually got to participate. I would probably do the going into a store wearing similar uniforms prank because it would be funny to see the shoppers reactions.
Shadows can be a subject of a photograph by making them the focal point of the image or by using the shadow of someone. Shadows with patterns create an authentic and aesthetic appearance that we do not see on a daily basis, which makes it more interesting. Light can be used to create shadows only if it is placed a certain way. Without light, shadows would not even appear.
Vivian Maier was a Nanny that had no known family and kept to herself. She collected things compulsively, which lead to having thousands of photographs. Vivian was considered a street photographer because she captured images of people without them knowing and would take the pictures at a lower level.
Interesting Facts: Vivian Maier always felt the need to collect things , even if they had no particular use She did not share her photography, but was making plans to She was born in New York, but lived in France for a few years with her French Mother One question I still have about Vivian Maier is, Why was Vivian Maier so afraid of men? Vivian Maier was an amateur street photographer that lived in Chicago. She was a caregiver and nanny, and a photographer in her free time. Vivian was born in New York, lived in Chicago, and died in Oak Park, Illinois, so by guessing, she absolutely loved the city life. I am interested in her work because of the black and white photo's she took, and because she did not devote her whole life to photography. She showed that you can have more than one option or interesting and still pursue both. I would like to take some pictures like the image above.
The photographs that would be the most devastating for me to lose are the picture of Emma and I. I wish that I had more pictures with both of my grandfather's because they are dead and I think it would be really weird to un-bury them and take pictures with them like that. I don't really like taking pictures at family events, but to be able to have photo's of our family Christmas would be great because we haven't had an actual family Christmas ever since my grandfather died.
